Bathroom remodel, finale

by | May 7, 2011 | House

Construction on our master bathroom remodel project wrapped up in late March, and the final punch-list items completed in April. Further delaying this final remodel post were our travels to Madrid and Belgium in April.

First, what the old space looked like:

seriously cramped, and the shower was just to the left.

These two 24″ doors were replaced by one larger 36″ sliding door centered on the wall

And the final product:

Final remodel, center
The view from the master bedroom with the new mirrors, and sunlight streaming in through the sun tunnel.

Final remodel, right
The completed shower and right side sink. Not seen in the photo is the small free-standing teak bench in the shower.

Final remodel, left
The completed left side.

We’ve been using the new bathroom for several weeks now and we love it! So much more space, especially in the shower, and it is much brighter. The entire experience has been quite a learning experience, and in the end, we are quite happy we started the project and the eventual outcome. You can read about the entire experience (with more photos!) from start to finish on our Master Bath Remodel page.

Next up: the screened-in deck!
