lunch at Citrus in Chapel Hill

Eric was having a particularly rough Monday this week, so we decided to try this new place, Citrus, in Southern Village for lunch. It’s tucked away among the townhouses, so you’ll have to look for it, but it’s worth the extra effort.

I got the Italian Sausage sandwich (patty made with sausage, cheese, grilled onions and peppers, served on ciabatta bread) and Eric had the Pork Tenderloin Panini (dry rubbed pork, grilled and served with spicy bbq sauce). We both got the 50/50 as a side so we could try the sweet potato and regular potato fries.

The interior is bright and cheery and the exterior space makes you feel like you are enjoying the meal on your own patio. Additionally, everything comes out on citrus-colored plates… lots of orange, yellow and green. Very fun and delicious, we will definitely be back to try some other things on the menu.
