2026 Wimbledon was fairly similar to my 2025 experience, since we spent most of our time watching the matches on Centre Court.

This year, my dad and I arrived around 10:15am and were through security and ticket checks in about 10 minutes. First a quick selfie to prove we made it.

Next up was the Wimbledon museum, which I had missed on our previous visit. During the tournament it is free! We got to see some of the history of The Championships (which began in the 1800s), early tennis gear, tournament trophies, and items from various stars.

After the museum we wandered the grounds, starting with Court 17 where we watched men’s doubles, Kokkinakis/Kovacevic vs Tracy/Cash.

Next we checked up (Henman) Hill, which was absolutely packed.

We tried to get a free ice cream at the Amex experience but the line was moving so slow, and the qr codes weren’t working properly so we eventually gave up on it. Instead, we found a spot to watch some tennis from the hill on the big TVs.

It was now around 1pm, so we headed toward Centre Court to find our seats for the 1:30p start. The schedule had two women’s matches, followed by a men’s match. This year we were on the south side of the stadium, row T, which gave us a nice view of the court and the royal box.  Plus we were in the shade!

Our first match was Eala vs Świątek. The match was electric, with the crowd into it, and ended in an emotional win for Eala.

The second match was Anisimova vs Keys, which on paper had seemed intriguing. Unfortunately, it was fairly boring, with lots of errors from Anisimova. Madison keys played well, nice for her to win in first appearance on Centre Court.

Our final match was Dimitrov vs Berrettini, a power matchup with lots of good serving. Italian fans got rowdy in third set, and they closed the roof before Dimitrov pulled off the win in five sets.

As with last year, we were allowed to bring in food and drink, including wine, which is a really nice perk for a major sports tournament.
