The Catedral de Mallorca is an imposing Gothic structure on the outside, and inside is even more impressive.

Said to have 61 stained glass windows, the central rose window is a highlight and stunning in the morning light, painting the columns and floors with color.

We went for a relatively early time slot of 10am, and you could feel the crowds growing over the next hour with lots of tour groups coming through.

The 10€ entry isn’t cheap, but this really is an impressive church to see, and one of our favorites in Europe.

As a small bonus, the cathedral entry also provides entry to the Museu Diocesà, a museum of religious artifacts in the old bishops palace.

Not worth it by itself, but worth a quick stop if you are already visiting the cathedral.
