Memory Monday: making a shell pendant

We did a bit of beach walking in Sengiggi on Lombok and Candidasa on Bali and one of my favorite finds were these jewel-like purple shells. My goal was to find at least one intact that I could turn into a pendant when we got home and this one fit the bill perfectly!

I went to ACE hardware and picked up some 24 gauge black wire and twisted it up to form a large loop in the middle (which I stuffed inside the shell) and two small loops on the ends for the chain to go through. One I had everything in place a dab of crazy glue along the opening kept everything in place.

Now I have a pretty reminder of my recent trip!
