Hi everyone! (waves)

I am finally sitting on my own comfy couch after several weeks of being on-the-move. The last three weeks have been an absolute whirlwind.

My last day of work was June 20, and 12 hours later I was leaving for the airport to fly to Nova Scotia for a week with Eric. We got delayed coming home, so I only had about 38 hours before I drove up to Chicago with pup on July 1/2. Eric flew out on Friday morning and after two days of cleaning and tossing garbage, all three of us made the marathon drive home on Sunday, July 8.

Eric wasn’t altogether thrilled about missing the men’s Wimbledon final to drive the new car back with me, but we listened to it on XM radio and he was generally a good sport. (thanks, sweetie!)

I am currently enjoying some time off and the last few days have seen me doing a ton of laundry, grocery shopping, and trying to find permanent homes for the many things we brought back with us.

While in Chicago, I seemed to have entered a “no-internet-zone,” so now that I am back at home I’ll have photos up of our shiny new ride as well as a few more posts about Halifax soon.
