Ah, homeownership

Imagine our surprise upon waking up to this on Monday morning –

roof with bent ridge vent

Upon further inspection we determined that our ridge vent was no longer on our ridge. Umm, how does a ridge vent just fall off? Especially on a calm, clear night? Thankfully there is no rain in the forecast…

We scheduled someone to fix it Tuesday morning, but the roof was too steep. Now they’re going to send someone else on Wednesday to replace the whole ridge vent. Here’s hoping the hole in our roof is fixed soon :)

UPDATE – We finally got it fixed on Thursday morning :) Phew.
