NC Museum of Art, on Google Maps
I heard about this awhile back, but was reminded of it recently… this is the satellite view of the art museum in Raleigh. Notice anything?

They used various elements, including the outdoor stadium and plantings to spell out “PICTURE THIS.” Pretty crafty for an art museum.
No commentsoh, I’m sorry… is this a working office and not a French beach?
The Office premiered last night and it was so worth the wait.
There were many funny lines including the above quote, Michael claiming that he was not superstitious but was more reasonably “slightly-stitious,” and Angela explaining how to deliver meds to her sick cat.
For more laughs, see what the cast did over the summer break by watching this 3 minute video on YouTube.

I’m not a big fan of top 10 or top 25 lists, but this one made me laugh out loud so I felt the need to share it: Traveler comments that make you say “Duh!”
Sadly, I’m sure these are all real. I especially like these two:
• Where is the best spot to watch the fireworks in London on the Fourth of July? (Come on, Yank. Just think about this for a nanosecond.)
• I am a vegetarian. Do they have vegetables in Kenya? (It is a strange thing in Africa, countries with two vowels in their names are vegetableless. It is just like some dry counties here in the United States.)
Riesling wearing her rope

Oddly enough, we didn’t put the rope on her - she flipped it onto her back and walked around like this for a few minutes…
No commentswii!
When deciding on a game console a few years back, both Eric and I thought long and hard between the GameCube, Xbox, and PS2 and because we are such fans of the Nintendo-brand games (Zelda, Mario, etc.), we went with the GameCube (which has since provided us with hours of entertainment). We knew we wanted the Wii as soon as we heard about it and have been trying to locate one for months using a method that would not involve us standing in long lines at ridiculous hours of the morning.
Two weeks ago, Eric got an web-alert that Circuit City had a bunch in stock online, so we quickly ordered one (happy birthday to me!) and waited impatiently for it to arrive.

Because it’s the way thing work, we received the Zelda game and extra remote early last week, but no Wii. It took until Saturday to arrive and we tore into the box with great anticipation. After three hours of playing tennis, boxing, and bowling on Saturday night for upwards of three hours, both Eric and I were very sore. This is not your traditional sit-on-the-couch video game system… I certainly do not feel lazy playing video games on this thing!

One of the neatest things is creating characters that look just like us. :)

clarification
E: That’s the woman with the two crazy dogs.
L: Well, at least she allows us to poop in her yard.
E: Hun, I think that only applies to Riesling.
Riesling
We had good light in the living room early this afternoon so I took some shots of Riesling and Leandra.
trust me, this pose didn’t last long.
my two girls.

don’t worry, Leandra wasn’t harmed in the filming of this shot!

(yeah right.)

I can maybe see Tiffani(-Amber) Thiessen and Drew Barrymore, but Michael Phelps? Hmm.

No commentsRiesling vs. the front window
About two weeks ago we had some unseasonably warm weather which allowed us to open the windows for a bit. Since Riesling is enamored with the the smells and sounds of “outside,” she was glued to the window for most of this time. I captured this video right after I opened the window. Basically, she’s interested in eating anything that contrasts from its background, including threads or bugs on the carpet, spots on the window, logos on my shirt, etc. In this case, she saw the knob that holds the screen in place and wanted to taste it. Badly.
*I actually took this video about two weeks ago, but I’ve been having trouble uploading it to YouTube. The first two or three seconds looks scratchy, but if you replay it, it’s fine.
