With a 9am tennis appointment we tried the same warm-up as last time and I was soon playing comfortably from the backcourt. This time we were playing next to Arantxa. I neared heat stroke (it was close to 90 degrees and no breeze) after about 45 minutes and wandered all over the complex looking for some water. I guess Arantxa's coach felt sorry for us because he gave us two bottles of ice-cold water. Thanks! We stopped to watch Justine Henin and Sandrine Testud practice on center court and caught some doubles before heading back to our room for showers.

Over breakfast we decided to take a submarine tour next week, so we called ahead for reservations. They had two submarine tours available Tuesday morning: one at 8:30am and one at 11am - surprisingly, we signed up for the one at 11 :) Next, we drove down the road a bit to visit a neighbor resort, the Mauna Lani, to take some photos. They are well known for their landscaping, and the beautiful koi ponds and flowers did not disappoint. We got some great photos of plumeria, fish and orchids and returned to our place. Though nice, their resort was a bit more stuffed shirt than the Hilton.

We decided to see if there was a dolphin quest session going on at our resort so we walked around the lagoon - walking under the waterfall we had snorkeled next to yesterday - to the Hang Ten beach bar. Each of us ordered a tropical drink and a snack, fries for Eric and a hot dog for me, and watched people play with the dolphins.
Once the show was over we chilled out in the room for a bit then Eric went to take more pictures. While he was gone I chilled some champagne for dinner and repainted my toenails (I still had the same polish on from the wedding). When he returned we went to play some putt-putt on the grass course right below our lanai. Eric beat me 55 to 58, but neither of us got near par (36!) although we both barely missed a hole in one. After snacking on some free appetizers we ordered Chinese takeout from Kirin. We wound up getting the same thing as our first night because our favorite Chinese food (Sweet & Sour Chicken) wasn't available.
Post- champagne and takeout dinner we ventured down to the southside of the complex where we enjoyed a thorough soaking in the hot tubs. We jumped into the chilly pool several times to keep the hot tub comfortable - although Eric really had to convince me of this before I would go in!
