Seven states in two days... Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. We are enjoying our few days at Penn State and then it's back home again. Check out our 'one scoop' ice cream cones from the coutry's largest university-run creamery!

We spent most of the day cleaning and we still have a ways to go. We are trying to throw out and donate a bunch of stuff before we move, so we don't wind up packing junk we don't really need. I am also trying to get some photos of my sister's graduation online. Meanwhile, enjoy some of the pastel paintings my students completed this week. :)

Hee hee.

My pastel class is over and it was actually a pretty good time this year. I would definitely do it again, especially to earn a little extra money.

And no, we still don't know for sure about North Carolina.

The Creative Minds summer camp starts next week and I will be teaching pastels again. I feel a lot more prepared this year, but middle school kids still make me a bit nervous. I have all the supplies, so I'll be sorting papers and pictures today as well as catching up on some other work.

I really wish the weather was a bit cooler as there are still a few hiking trails I'd like to explore before we leave Georgia for good. Alas, at 90+ degrees walking around in the buggy woods is a lot less fun.

Well, my sister has graduated from Physician Assistant school and my brother left to take a job in California. It was wonderful spending time with them for the long weekend, but I am happy to be back home in my own bed. I spent most of the weekend cleaning out my closets and hauling empty boxes and old junk out of the basement. My parents will probably be moving in a few years and they have a lot of work ahead of them. At least 'the kids' belongings are tossed or sorted, boxed and labeled now. You can actually walk through the storage area now.

I am almost done with my scrapbook for South Africa and then I get to work on a few other projects. I must force myself to journal the book now however, before I forget key details. But, then again, that's what this was for. :D
