february 26 ![]() -link to this day- @ 10a | 2 cents... ![]() Our second day home from work due to weather conditions. At least an inch of snow fell last night and although it's beautiful outside, my very necessary hair appointment has been cancelled. I called the place and no one's there. :( february 21 ![]() -link to this day- @ 9p | 2 cents... Today was 60 degrees and sunny, so we went in search for a few more waterfalls to photograph. Four waterfalls in all, two we've seen before and two brand new ones. I broke my new truck in on Forest Service Road 20 and then celebrated with some wine tasting at Tiger Mountain Vineyards (the only winery growing grapes in Georgia that we like). february 16 ![]() -link to this day- @ 3p | 2 cents... Eric had his wisdom teeth pulled on Wednesday, so we've been taking it easy for the last few days. I am happy to report that there were no complications and he hasn't even taken a pain pill. Because of his aversion to dentistry, he was given Valium the night before and knocked out for the whole surgery. Everything is healing up nicely and he'll be happy when he can stop rinsing with salt water after every meal. I also made it into that "First-Time Homebuyers" class on Tuesday and Thursday nights. I have two classes left this week and then a Marketing seminar on Thursday and Friday during the day. In between all of this, Eric has his surgeon checkup on Wednesday and a dentist appt. on Thursday. We were hoping to attend the Southeastern Flower Show on Saturday, but at the rate we're going we might be too tired. We also saw a wonderful movie this weekend, Big Fish. Great story of tall tales, family dynamics, and growing up. Highly recommended. We cannot recommend the other movie we saw this weekend, however. Swimming Pool was, unfortunately, a so-so drama, not the thrilling mystery it was touted to be. Completely unrelated, but this weekend I got tickets to see The Darkness on April 8 in Atlanta. Oh yeah! february 9 ![]() -link to this day- @ 10a | 2 cents... I posted a few photos of our trip to Chapel Hill. february 6 ![]() -link to this day- @ 3p | 2 cents... We just got back from three days in Chapel Hill, NC. Eric spent a majority of his time talking to various students, post-docs and professors and I spent my days cruising galleries, visiting an art museum, a botanical garden and walking all over campus to kill time between these adventures. Overall, I think Eric got a good feel for the program at UNC and I figured out what size bridesmaid's dress I'll need at a MUCH less crowded David's Bridal. (The Gwinnett store is a complete nightmare). Weather forecasts for this weekend are looking pretty chilly so we'll probably stay indoors, rent some movies and relax. Next week I am hoping to get into a "First-Time Homebuyers" class on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for two weeks. The course needs one more paying person to sign up before I can take it for free. Sometimes working at a continuing education center isn't so bad. :) |
