We spent yesterday in New York City wandering around looking at the decorated windows at Macy's and Lord & Taylor. By four we had checked out Rockerfeller Center and St. Patrick's Cathedral so we sat down to a wonderful meal at Via Italia. At 7:30, the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular show. What a wonderful day! The above photo is of the Rockettes' famous toy soldiers. More to come!

I am home from work today recovering from a mild case of the flu. My entire body including my fingers ached on Tuesday, so I finished up most of the work that had to get done yesterday and took a relaxation day.

I have a haircut appointment this afternoon and I'll run a few errands, but our Christmas shopping is entirely done. :)

We had a wonderful time yesterday at the Festival of Trees in downtown Atlanta. We spent a few hours browsing trees and scenes from around the world, perusing ornaments and taking lots of pictures. We had some time before meeting friends for dinner, so we walked to Centennial Olympic Park to take photos of some of the Christmas decorations there as well.

The Siam Thai Restaurant in Decatur had some incredible curry and by the time we got there all four of us were starving. I still couldn't finish my meal and I am looking forward to masaman chicken curry leftovers for lunch in a hour.

Photos of the festival and lights will be up soon.

Our Thanksgiving was warm and sunny in Florida, which was a good thing because it was about 35 degrees this morning for my track workout. I think it's time for some indoor activity until it warms up again. Brr!

On our way down to St. Pete, we decided to stop off in Orlando for the evening and spend Monday at EPCOT. Neither of us had been there since we've been together (over six years), so what the hell? Eric thought it would be uncrowded because it was Thanksgiving week, but we were in for quite a shock. Although not nearly as packed as the place can be in summer months, there were plenty of people milling about. We still managed to see everything we wanted (Mission: Space, RaceTrack, Innoventions, World Showcase) but it did call for some zig zagging around. Photos of EPCOT and our adventures in mini golf are here.

On Monday night we drove 1.5 hours to St. Pete and spent a nice three days eating, wine shopping and relaxing!

We drove the eight hours back to Athens on Friday and still managed to pick up our Christmas tree and drink some champagne that evening. :) The rest of the weekend involved lots of laundry, creating and printing our custom Christmas cards and catching up on our shows thanks to ReplayTV. Photos of our Christmas decorating are here.
