After a busy weekend of uploading, the front page of our site has (finally) been redesigned from the spring dafodils to a more summer-fall zinnia look. Also available are the Seattle photos. Don't forget to check out the sightseeing map on that page. I posted that to offer everyone a view into all the locations we visited during our 6 day vacation.

Now we are going to take it easy for a few weeks before our drive to Chicago and I'll try and keep my sanity on the road around town now that the students are back.

Today is my 27th birthday. It's not a monumental birthday, but I'm healthy and happy, so I can't complain. :)

Our trip out west to Seattle and the Olympic Peninsula was simply wonderful - both busy and beautiful. We got to see most of the sights we wanted to see... most importantly the Pacific Ocean and the H'oh Rainforest. Keeping busy with wine tasting, hiking, eating and visiting with friends wore us out, but we didn't want to leave. Our bed and breakfast in Forks was great, wonderful food and hosts. And our rented PT Cruiser made driving all over the place that much more pleasurable. I have gone through our 300+ photos and tried to narrow them down the best I could while still showing all the places we visited. They should be online in a week or so.

We also saw Pirates of the Caribbean yesterday and I loved it! The fact that they took specific scenes from the ride and included them in the movie was very clever and Johnny Depp's performance alone was worth the ticket price. Very entertaining.

I've decided to make more time for pleasure reading, so I'm posting in my side bar (on the main page) books I am currently reading and have recently finished to keep me motivated.
