We had a wonderful visit with Eric's parents over this Easter weekend. Many household improvements were made with only one mild electrical shock (sorry, dad!). Easter dinner was tasty and we had nine people total for our informal buffet of ham, asparagus, focaccia bread (homemade by me) and Allen's yummy potato salad. We've been eating fresh strawberries from the farmers market all weekend and I managed to find my sungold tomato plants which will go in the ground this week!

All our plants arrived on Friday (very) ready to plant... our garden page has been updated with all sorts of things currently in bloom.
Last week one of my co-workers brought in fresh eggs from her farm for everyone. They are many different colors and all delicious! The yolks are bright orange!
The afternoon before we left for California, Eric spotted a queen platform bed on craigslist... we picked it up at 10:30pm. Not only does it match our existing furniture pretty well, but it also has a storage drawer which will come in handy since the closet is rather small. We finally had the time to put it together this weekend. Now we have an honest-to-goodness guest bedroom (that desperately needs to be painted and decorated!)
Oh, and meet our friend, the hot tub frog... he's about two inches long and lives just under the cover. Still.

I have a lot of photos from our trip to wade through, so in the meantime... more photos stolen from Ryan! These were taken at Crystal Cove State Park in The OC. :P.
We have ordering several shipments of plants from catalogs over the last month or two and we got the notice a week before we left that everything had shipped. It's been almost two weeks now and we have one of the three boxes. Here's hoping all the plants aren't dead/dying when they arrive. At least daylight savings time will help Eric's planting time after work today!
